We needed a break from the intensity of Indian cities, so we found the Krishna Ranch about 10 km north of Udaipur in the Aravalli Hills. There was something lovely about being back in the rhythms of nature, being with the birds and the animals (horses, cows, goats, dogs...) and the friendly owners, Francine and Dinesh. She’s Dutch and he’s Indian and he was her rickshaw driver back in the 1980s! Just goes to show you never know where life will take you...

Nous avions besoin du repos après le rhythme effrénée des villes indiennes, donc nous avons trouvé le Krishna Ranch à 10 km au nord d’Udaipur dans les Aravalli Hills. C’était une belle expérience de se retrouver dans la nature, à cohabiter avec les oiseaux et les animaux (chevaux, vaches, chèvres, chiens…) et les propriétaires sympathiques, Francine, une hollandaise, et Dinesh, un indien. Il a été son chauffeur de rickshaw dans les années 80, comme quoi la vie peut changer d’un moment à un autre !
